INSPECTION OF THE GENERAL VALUATION ROLL IN TERMS OF THE MUNICIPAL PROPERTY RATES ACT,6 OF 2004

NOTICE NO: 46/2019

Notice is herby given in terms of Section 49(1) (a) (i) (ii) read together with Section 78 (2) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act 6 of 2004), hereinafter referred to as “the Act” that Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality has compiled the General Valuation Roll for the financial years 2019 to 2014. The roll is open for public inspection at designated Municipal Offices situated in Inxuba Yethemba Municipality as listed here – below and the Municipal website: www.iym.gov.za, from 01 April 2019 until 15 May 2019 and can be viewed during office hours (08:00 – 16:30).

An invitation is herby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i)(ii) read together with Section 78(2) of the Act that the owner of an immovable property or any other person who so desires may lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted the General Valuation Roll within the above mentioned period.

In terms Section 50(2) of the Act, an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the Valuation Roll. Forms for lodging objections are obtainable from the Municipal Offices. Completed forms must be returned to Inxuba Yethemba Municipality on or before 15 May 2019.

KENNISGEWING: INSPEKSIE VAN ALGEMENE WAARDASIE ROL IN TERME VAN DIE MUNISIPALE EIENDOMSBELASTING WET, 6 VAN 2004

Kennis geskied hiermee kragtens die bepalings van Artikel 49(1)(a)(i)(ii) saamgelees met Artikel 78(2) van die Plaaslike Owerhede: Munisipale Eiendomsbelasting Wet, 2004 (Wet 6 van 2004) hierna verwys as “die Wet” dat: Inxuba Yethemba Munisipaliteit die publiek uitnooi om insae te lewer raakende hul Algemene Waardasielys vir 2019 tot 2024. Die rol is oop vir inspeksie by die munisipale kantore en biblioteke te Cradock en Middleburg vanaf 01 April 2019 tot 15 Mei 2019, gedurende kantoor ure (08h00 – 16h30) sowel as die munipale webwerf: www.iym.gov.za.

Geliewe kennis te neem dat enige eienaar van vaste eiendom of enige ander persoon kragtens die bepalings van Artikel 49(1)(a)(i)(ii) saamgelees met Artikel 78(2) van vermelde wet ‘n beswaar kan indien by die Munisipale Bestuurder ten opsigte van hul waardasies uitsluitsel rakende die eiendomswaardasiellys binne bovermelde tydperk. U aandag word specifiek gevestig op die bepalings van Artikel 50(2) van die wet wat bepaal dat ‘n beswaar na ‘n spesifieke eiendom moet verwys en nie na die waardasielys nie. Die voorgeskrewe beswaarvorm is beskikbaar by bovermelde Munisilape kantore. Die voltooide vorm moet voor of op 15 Mei 2019 terug besorg word aan die Munisipale Bestuurder.
