MANAGER: INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT
PLANNING AND PERFORMANCE
Salary: R453 003.87 p.a. (Task Grade 16)
Key requirements: • Must have Grade 12 Certificate and National
Diploma/ B. Degree in Town and Regional Planning (or equivalent
qualification) • Minimum of three-years’ working experience as
the IDP/PMS Officer in the Local Government or Public sector
• Valid driver’s licence minimum Code B.
Knowledge, skill and competencies: • Report writing skills
• Good coordination and communication skills • Honesty and
integrity • Ability to work under pressure • A sound knowledge of
Key responsibilities: • Provide leadership to ensure that
the strategic objectives related to performance management
systems are achieved • Responsible for the development and
implementation of PMS policies and procedures • Develop
individual and organizational Performance Management System
• Research PMS trends and formulate a Municipal strategy on
PMS • Monitor organizational performance, and liaise with
external stakeholders on service delivery programme • Compile
SDBIP and ensure proper implementation thereof • Facilitate
Municipal quarterly report and have it adopted by Council
• Assist during preparation of Section 57 Manager’s performance
scorecards • Manage Integrated Development Programme • Link
PMS and ensure the successful implementation of IDP • Manage
the resources within the PMS Unit • Prioritization of IDP activities
• Oversee the preparation of the municipality’s IDP on a five year
and ensuring that they meet the IDP guidelines as Gazetted.
