The Faculty of Education has a long history of productive engagement with the key issues facing education in South Africa. We offer innovative, research-based teacher education programmes and run large postgraduate programmes in various disciplines in education. Our dedication to improving the education system has led to an engagement with schools in research and school improvement projects.

The Faculty of Education seeks a professional, vibrant and self-driven individual for appointment to the post of Faculty Manager. The successful incumbent will be expected to assume overall responsibility for the operational management of Faculty administration and will work in partnership with the Dean, Deputy Deans and Chairpersons of Departments. The Faculty Manager’s primary function will be to provide leadership on matters relating to all aspects of Faculty administration. This will include management of human resources, finances, student administration and services and marketing.

Minimum Requirements
An appropriate postgraduate degree at a Master’s level; plus substantial and relevant planning, management and academic administration skills, as well as professional leadership experience in a Higher Education institution, are essential for this senior position.
