Lecturer: Physiology and Environmental Health (Two positions)
Junior Lecturer: Physiology and Environmental Health (One position)
• A Masters of Arts in Language studies (for the Lecturer position) or an Honours Degree in Language studies (for the Junior Lecturer position) • At least three years of teaching experience at tertiary level (for the Lecturer position) or at least two years of teaching experience at tertiary level (for the Junior position) • Experience in teaching English to Science students. • Demonstrated team teaching and good interpersonal relations • Understanding community engagement • Registration for a Ph.D. (for the Lecturer) or an MA degree (for the Junior Lecturer) will be an advantage • Computer literacy with a sound working knowledge of MS Office and Biostatistics software • Ability to work independently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teaching and training of science students at the undergraduate foundation level • Promoting the teaching and assessment framework of the School and Faculty (Module Outlines and Study Guides; marking and submission of marks according to policy). • Assistant with the supervision to postgraduate students • Actively contributes to the Department’s research output, including attracting funding for research projects • Assistance with departmental administrative duties • Participation in community engagement activities.
