ADMNISTRATOR
Remuneration: R250 000.00 p.a. • 3 Year Contract

Minimum requirements: • Three-year Diploma/Degree in Public Administration
or any relevant qualification • Ability to communicate in isiZulu and English • Valid
driver’s licence • Knowledge of Local Government Legislation and Regulations
• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles/ Customer Care • Understanding the drafting
of lease agreement • Computer literacy.

Key performance areas: • To serve as Centre Administrator of the Bulwer
Service Centre (BCSC) at Bulwer and take overall responsibility for the running
of an efficient, well-utilized and financially-viable center which meets the needs of
the community and inspires a sense of ownership in the community • To identify
the needs of the community for the service, programme and activities to be
provided at the BCSC, co-ordinates, organize, promote, monitor and evaluate
these service/programs/activities provided at the BCSC and to handle enquires
and complaints regarding it • To perform tasks associated with the functioning
of the Management Committee of the BCSC and perform managerial tasks
including planning, organizing, coordinating and report, giving tasks regarding
the functioning of the BCSC • To co-ordinate the duties, functions and activities
of all community development workers (CDW’s) and perform other general
activities/ tasks associated with the administration of the BCSC and other
general administrative functions • Ensure that staff members of different service
providers impart information and render services in accordance with Batho Pele
Principles • Maintain liaison with the community and service providers • Ensure
proper communication systems e.g. suggestion box • Coordinate informative
sessions, example, workshops.
Manage the compilation and submission of reports by: • Ensuring that all
service providers in the Centre compile and submit monthly statistics at the end
of the month • Ensuring that monthly reports are submitted to the provincial
office on or before the 5th of every month • Ensuring that monthly reports are
copied to the local municipality, LISSC (Local Intersectoral Steering Committee)
and Provincial Intersectoral Steering Committee) PISSC.
Identify the needs of the community regarding service, programmes and activities
that must be provided at the must be provided at the Bulwer Community Service
Centre (BCSC), by • Drawing up questionnaires for the community to identify
their needs (on the computer in his office using office software) distribute it and
receive completed questionnaires back • Conducting interviews with members
of the community to identify their needs • Meeting/liaising with the nongovernment
organizations (NGO’s) and community-based organizations (CBO’s)
regarding their needs for above mentioned service, programmes and activities
when necessary • Receiving needs for services that must be provided at the
BCSC and its priorities identified during the process of compiling the integrated
development plan (IDP) of the municipality from the IDP Manager.
