Job Purpose:
The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government seeks to employ a suitably qualified and competent individual in Human Resource Management to coordinate and facilitate the Human capital development programmes for the department. This will include bursaries, internships (PAY, graduate and student) and Young Professional Persons. This post is based in Elsenburg, Stellenbosch.

Minimum Requirements:
An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree); A minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resource Management and/or Youth Development Programmes; A valid Code B driving licence.

Work after hours if required; Supervisory experience.

Key Performance:
Areas Manage the Co-ordination of external development and training interventions; Facilitate the Special Project: Agricultural Partnership for Youth Development; Monitor and evaluate Internship Premiers Advancement of Youth (PAY), Student, Vacation and Graduate interns, Bursary/Scholarship and Young Professional Persons Programmes and Agricultural Partnership for Rural Development; Perform managerial and administrative functions; Liaise and network with all stakeholders and external host employers; Submit monthly, quarterly and semester reports; Career awareness.

Communication (written and verbal) skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape; Proven computer literacy in the MS Office Programmes (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook); Problem solving skills; Supervisory and Presentation skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

R 356 289 per annum (Salary Level 9)

Note on remuneration:
Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees’ service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
