Full Professor / Associate Professor
A PhD in Psychology Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as clinical psychologist A minimum of five years teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels Evidence of successful supervision and training of MA and PhD-level psychology candidates An extensive and consistent publication record in DHET accredited journals in the past five years Evidence of curriculum development and articulation in specific theories Capacity to assist in promoting the Department’s mission and position to internal university constituencies and external stakeholders.
The incumbent will be required to: Teach and train students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels Supervise Masters and Doctoral research Train clinical students in one or more of the following: psychological assessment; adult psychopathology; child psychopathology; psychotherapy; psychology practice Provide clinical practical supervision of clinical Masters, B.Psych, and Psychology Honours students Conduct research and be involved in discipline-related community service Publish consistently in DHET accredited, peer reviewed journals and books Develop curriculum and course materials.
