EXECUTIVE PROGRAM MANAGER
ADOLESCENT GIRLS AND YOUNG WOMEN SOCIAL IMPACT BOND
The SAMRC’s Office of AIDS and TB Research (OATB) seeks to appoint an Executive Program Manager who will lead the design, development and implementation of the OATB’s Social Impact Bond (SIB) to address HIV and quality of life outcomes in adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) through innovative financing and accelerated learning.
The following position is currently available, based at the SAMRC OATB in Pretoria or Cape Town office.
Executive Program Manager: • Adolescent Girls and Young Women Social Impact Bond • Master’s degree in Medicine, Nursing or other health sciences background with specialist qualifications in public health or a field related to this project (Public Health, Development, Gender Studies or the Social Sciences) with at least 15 years’ management experience in a health or social systems field • a formal qualification in a business or finance related field such as an MBA or Master’s level training in health economics • high level of organisational skills and ability to provide oversight over a multitude of projects • sound knowledge of an extensive research experience in HIV and gender in the South African and African context • ability to interact at a high level with a wide range of stakeholders from senior researchers, government officials, investors, funders, programme implementers • a market-related total cost-to-company remuneration package.
