FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP (5 POSTS)
FINANCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Duration: Two (2) years fixed term contract • Notice HR 08/2021
Qualifications: • Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 qualification • A Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with major concentration in Economics, Accounting or Finance • Be a South African Citizen • Be computer literate. Preference will be given to the applicants from previously disadvantaged background.
Key performance areas: • The intern must work for the Council as part of the learning process • Be available for and participate in all learning and work experience required by the internship • Comply with the workplace policies and procedures of the Council • Complete any daily logs or any written assessment tools supplied by the Council to record relevant workplace experience • Attend all study periods and theoretical learning sessions, also after hours (evenings and/ Saturdays), with the education and training provider and undertake all learning conscientiously and complete and maintain professional portfolio of evidence in accordance with the Guidelines.
The stipend applicable is R100 000.00 per annum (all inclusive).
The successful intern will be subjected to signing of an internship agreement to ensure commitment to the programme which requires, amongst others, full participation in educational and workplace assignments and observance of policies and procedures.
People who have already participated / benefited in Government or the private sector Work Experience / Internship/ In-service Programme for a period of 12 months and above will not be considered.
