HEAD: PROJECTS

TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1 162 715 TO R1 571 939 PER ANNUM • REF NO: WS 181/21 • BELLVILLE

 Requirements:

  • BSc (Civil Engineering) or BEng (Civil Engineering) or BTech (Civil Engineering) or relevant/equivalent degree
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with ECSA would be an advantage
  • Project management qualification with relevant project management work experience would be an advantage
  • Design, procurement, implementation and contract/project management experience at a senior level in the technical/engineering field, with a focus on stormwater and river system infrastructure (minimum eight (8) years)
  • Knowledge and experience in the application and administration of the MFMA, SCM Regulations and standard Forms of Contract (CIDB), in particular GCC 2015 (SAICE)
  • A valid driver’s licence.

 Key performance areas:

  • Managing the Projects Section of the Catchment Stormwater and River Management Branch, including the utilisation, empowerment, productivity and performance of personnel within the section
  • Leading, managing, coordinating and executing the planning, design, procurement and implementation of the capital projects for Catchment, Stormwater and River infrastructure, ensuring compliance with City policies, procedures and regulations and relevant legislation (MFMA, etc.)
  • Managing the capital budgets for the branch and its associated functions.
