Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified applicants for the following positions that exist within uMlalazi Municipality.

HOUSING RENTAL INFORMATION OFFICER: PLANNING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Salary: R235 533.77 to R305 734.14 i.e. Task Grade 11 (Provisional)

Qualifications and experience: • A National Diploma in Public Administration/Public Management/Public Relations or Development Studies coupled with 1 year to 3 years’ relevant work experience • A valid driver’s licence.

Key performance areas: • Coordinate administrative processes relating to provision of information to Landlords and Tenants with regards to their rights and obligations, receive complaints lodged by the Landlords and Tenants and refer to the Tribunal, keep records of enquiries received and submit reports in relation thereto to the Tribunal on a quarterly basis as well as comply with any request made by the Tribunal in terms of Section 13 of the Act • Facilitate the provision of venue for Tribunal proceeding in response to request made in terms of Section 10(3) of the Act • Receive quarterly reports submitted by the Tribunal in terms of Section 13(8) of the Act and report to the Municipality on the activities of the Information Office • Report to the superior on the activities of the Rental Housing Tribunal.
