Junior Lecturer: Nursing Science
A Bachelor degree in Nursing Science (B.Cur)/ BNURS) Registered Nurse Educator • Current registration as a Nurse (General, Psychiatric and Community) and Midwifery with SANC • A minimum two (2) years of teaching experience at an institution of higher education/ nursing college • Two (2) years’ experience in teaching and assessment of students in a clinical setting • Deadlines driven, ability to multi-task, organise, plan and work under pressure • Communication and problem-solving skills.
Duties: Teaching and assessment of nursing students in the theory and practice of General Nursing Science • Assessment of nursing students in the theory and practice of General Nursing Science • Development of study materials and learner guides for nursing students • The accompaniment of nursing students to the clinical setting • Perform all administrative duties related to teaching and learning and community engagement • Record keeping as required by the South African Nursing Council.
