A Master’s degree in Nursing Science (M.Cur/ MNURS) • . Registered Nurse Educator • Current registration as a Nurse (General, Psychiatric and Community) and Midwifery with SANC • A minimum two (2) years of teaching experience at an institution of higher education/ nursing college • Two (2) years’ experience in teaching and assessment of students in a clinical setting • Deadline driven, ability to multi-task, organise, plan and work under pressure • Communication and problem-solving skills.
Duties: Teaching and learning of nursing students in the theory and practice of (General Nursing Community, Psychiatry) and Midwifery • Assessment of nursing students in theory and practice of (General Nursing, Community, Psychiatry) and Midwifery • Development of study materials and learner guides for nursing students • Accompaniment and mentoring of nursing students to the clinical setting • Supervision of undergraduate and post-graduate nursing research projects • Engage in own research, publish and present result at national and international conferences • Perform all administrative duties related to clinical teaching and learning and community engagement, as delegated by Head of Department • Record keeping as required by the South African Nursing Council.
