Key Performance Areas
The Office of the Deputy Registrar (Academic Administration) is primarily responsible for all administrative activities related to the enrolment life-cycle at the University of the Western Cape. Applications are invited for a Manager: Academic Administration Training and Development who can assist the Deputy Registrar in this role. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail orientated and innovative individual with a passion for information management, systems development and service delivery.
Reporting to the Deputy Registrar (Academic Administration), the Manager: Academic Administration Training and Development will work closely with central Administration departments, Faculty Administration, Information Technology Services, the Institutional Planning Office and the Quality Assurance & Management Information office.
The successful incumbent will be expected to improve academic administration and training by managing and optimising academic administration business and committee management processes, identify academic administration and committee management training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives to support the Registrar’s Institutional strategic goals and imperatives. The incumbent will also be expected to manage and map IT related systems enhancements and provide user support. The incumbent will focus on effective leadership and optimising the management of activities relating to an enhanced enrolment life-cycle. The incumbent will also be expected to manage and supervise a team of professional staff.
Three to five years of management experience
Three to five years of working experience within Higher Education and Student Administration
