Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified applicants for the following position of Manager (Office of the Speaker) that exist in the Office of the Municipal Manager.

MANAGER (OFFICE OF THE SPEAKER)

Contract of Employment for the aforesaid vacancy is linked to the Term of Office for the Speaker

Salary:R459 863.06 to R596 916.69 p.a. i.e. Task Grade 15 (Provisional) plus a Motor Vehicle Allowance, a Cellphone and Data Allowance payable in terms of the Council’s Policy.

Qualifications and experience: • Applicants must have Grade 12 plus a Degree in Public Administration or equivalent qualification, be computer literate in all MS Office applications, Code B driving license and a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience • In-depth understanding of the political landscape and dynamics will be an added advantage.

Key performance areas: • Through the Municipal Manager, directs and controls the procedures and applications associated with the provision of services and support to the Office of the Speaker through determination of requirements related to Office Management • Alignment of workflow and priorities • Monitor the effectiveness of administrative systems intended to organize • Maintain and make available information relating to political and administrative discussions, decisions • Processes and responses, and attending to preparatory arrangements relating to the co-ordination of political programmes at community level in order to ensure the Office of the Speaker is given the required level of support to enable attention and undertaking of key responsibilities that is deemed compulsory in terms of the service delivery charter and participatory governance strategy.
