Key Performance Areas
The role of the Human Resources Department is to support the University’s People Strategy which presents challenging people deliverables in relation to change and transformation projects and strategies.
We are inviting applications for the role of the Manager: Staff & Organisational Development from suitably qualified and experienced persons.
a) To identify and implement skills development and Learnership Programmes to support the objectives of the university.
b) To enhance standards and levels of accredited learning in terms of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and facilitates the delivery of accredited learning and certification.
c) To develop current and future orientated learning strategies in line with the university’s vision and mission.
d) To lead and influence integration and unification of learning initiatives within the university.
e) To equip employees with current and emerging competencies to meet the University needs through the design, facilitation and communication of general learning interventions.
f) To ensure continuous improvement on Human Resources Development (HRD) systems, co-ordination of administration and processes related to learning interventions.
g) To provide an effective service to the university with up to date and accurate information on which sound decisions can be made, e.g. Training Schedules, Skills Plan, linked to deliverables.
a) A Degree in Behavioural Sciences/Organisational Psychology.
b) A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology will be preferable.
c) Registration with an HR statutory body (Psychology/psychometrics) (not compulsory).
d) Qualification as a Skills Development Facilitator.
e) A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position.
f) Possession of a valid South African driver’s license.
g) Knowledge of South Africa’s skills development legislation, policies, practices and programmes.
h) Familiarity and knowledge of the Higher Education sector.
