Key Performance Areas
The Division for Student Development and Support (SDS) plays a leading role in creating a holistic, enabling environment and excellent opportunities for students to develop to their full potential as active scholars and responsive citizens of South Africa.

Applications are invited from dynamic, vibrant individuals with proven experience in student housing facilities management and a passion for co-curricular programmes.

Reporting to the Director: Residential Services, you will mainly be responsible for:

The overall management of the student residences infra-structure and assets.
Identify and respond to student needs
The management of staff within the residences
Manage the implementation of the operational aspects of Service Level Agreements (SLA) as delegated by the director
Manage and co-ordinate service & supply budgets for residences
Minimum Requirements
A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification or NQF equivalent, preferably in the area of Management and/or Administration, Physical Infrastructure
3 years’ work experience in an operations or facilities management role, preferably within a university setting or similar organisation
A minimum of 3 – 5 years of management experience, inclusive of staff management
Demonstrated leadership and strategy development skills and implementation
Established administration abilities
Experience in the development and implementation of evaluation and monitoring mechanisms
IT exposure and understanding of systems in administration
Facilities/assets management experience or knowledge a prerequisite
Valid Code 08 driver’s licence
Be available after hours for standing meetings, incidents and emergencies
