Salary: The incumbent will be remunerated at R544 422.24 p.a. on permanent basis with other standard Municipal benefits.

Requirements: • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Management or any relevant equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7) • 3 to 4 years’ of relevant experience • Valid Code B. driver’s licence. Skills: • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills • Strong managerial and leadership skill • Ability to work under pressure • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications • Knowledge of legislation, guidelines and policies pertaining to youth development.

Key performance areas: • Control the implementation of procedures, systems • Attend to the effectiveness of policies and procedures through the interaction of relevant role players • Plan youth centre and sporting facilities to ensure maximum usage • Analyse reports on project/programme expenditure • Collate information or conduct investigations in order to respond to internal/external communications • Manage the implementation of funding • Monitor the progress of programme • Engage the use of service providers for the facilitation of programmes • Establish Youth Centre’s and Sports and Recreation Forums through a consultative process • Liaise with Provincial Youth Development structures and other stakeholders • Provide guidance to the coordinators on administrative and operational application and procedures • Attend meetings and prepare reports • Interact with relevant forums, service providers, and other municipal officials • Compile monthly youth reports and quarterly work plans in line with the Umdoni strategic plan.
