SAMRC – ATODRU (CAPE TOWN) – Position is based in Port Elizabeth
The Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Research Unit is looking for an experienced, energetic person with good organisational skills to co-ordinate and manage a new project. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the PRIZE project, a pilot trial developing and evaluating a peer support approach for people with schizophrenia living in the community in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan District.
The objective of this post is to strengthen the production and use of evidence to support health policy and systems decisions for achieving universal health coverage (UHC) and a high-quality health system, and to reduce health inequities.
Project coordinator: • Three years of relevant work experience • a four-year degree (preferably psychological or medical sciences) • excellent proficiency in isiXhosa and English • 2- year contract • salary in the region of R361 043 per annum.
