Senior Lecturer: Performing Arts (One post)


•  A PhD in Drama, Theatre and/or Film with expertise in Acting and Writing for Performance •  Sound knowledge of paradigms in South African and African drama and theatrical traditions •  Music and African film will be an added advantage •  Minimum of five (5) years teaching experience in a tertiary institution will be an added advantage •  Competencies: The applicant should be able to work as part of a team, and take initiatives in research projects and contribute to the development of programmes offered in the Department • Flexibility and good work ethics are high on the list priorities for this position.


•  Teach and assess at all undergraduate and postgraduate levels and administer large groups of students. •  Teach modules at postgraduate level •  Conduct funded research projects and publications. •  Participate in conference presentations. •  Supervise postgraduate students.
