ENERGY ● ELECTRICITY GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION

SENIOR PROFESSIONAL OFFICER: GENERATION

TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R870 029 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: NRG 43/22 

Requirements: 

  • B Tech or BSc degree in Engineering and Built Environment
  • Five (5) years’ relevant post qualification experience in project management/coordination
  • Three (3) years’ supervisory experience
  • Evidence of large-scale complex projects completion
  • Financial planning and management
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, project management, contract management, PMBOK and Municipal Finance and Procurement legislation
  • SAP proficiency
  • Projects in the generation/ gas turbine/ hydro environments will be advantageous
  • Experience in sustainable energy environments will be advantageous.

 

Key performance areas: 

  • Implement projects and programmes in accordance with the necessary project management technical skills and knowledge areas, including Planning, Financial, Procurement and Contracts, Risk, HR, Stakeholder, Legal, Technical, Quality and Information Management aspects; Issues Resolution, Project Administration, etc.
  • Perform project monitoring and evaluation functions to ensure adherence to project plans and attainment of project outputs and Monitor and report on budgetary, performance, impact and risk matters in relation to project plans, objectives, targets and indicators
  • Participate and coordinate in corporate and specialised project management capability training
  • Supervise and coordinate all reporting staff and development and enablement
  • Ensure training and skills targets are set and maintained.
