SENIOR RECORDS MANAGEMENT OFFICER

BASIC SALARY: R417 967 TO R498 439 PER ANNUM • REF NO: CS 92/21 ● CIVIC CENTRE

Requirements:

  • Relevant BTech or degree
  • Two (2) to five (5) years’ relevant experience preferably in a records management, information management or compliance environment
  • Knowledge of National and Provincial Archives Act
  • Knowledge of classification systems, disposal process and compliance monitoring
  • Computer literacy.

Key performance areas:

  • Providing professional support to all directorates and departments in the organisation in respect of the implementation and use of records management processes and systems
  • Providing professional advice and support in the monitoring of records management compliance
  • Providing organisational support in respect of the creation, maintenance, implementation and use of records classification systems
  • Analysing, evaluating and interpreting the business requirements of clients to formulate conclusions and recommendations
  • Conducting assessments of records and advise clients on classification
  • Providing support to management with regard to disposal procedures, processes and controls, specific to tasks associated with records management disposal programmes
  • Ensuring implementation and monitoring of annual disposal projects as instructed by the Records Manager
  • Researching material for records management communications and presentations
  • Communicating professional knowledge of the functional area and results of investigations to user departments
  • Administering and implementing records management training interventions.
