SENIOR TECHNICIAN – OPERATIONS (ULUNDI)
SALARY SCALE: R399 770.16 – R446 848.88 P.A. (POST LEVEL D3)
Requirements: • Valid Grade 12/Matric Certificate • National Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent NQF level 6/7 • Registration with ECSA would be advantageous • Minimum of 3 years’ in Project Management is required • Fluency in isiZulu and English • A valid Code 08 driver’s licence • 3 – 4 years’ project management and supervisory experience.
Key performance areas: • Control all the rural development projects and Zululand District Municipal financed projects in its area of jurisdiction • Prepare quotations and tender documents • Attend site meetings • Manage Service Providers • Attend to all project related queries received • Prepare monthly progress reports • Investigate, analyse, cost, prepare reports, prioritize, etc. of all project applications received • Regular visit, inspect and keep records of approved projects • Issue progress payment certificates based on actual progress • Arrange for the issuing of orders for materials needed on site • Ensure that the project costs remain within budget or make the necessary application (report included) for additional funds • Attend community meetings as a representative of the Zululand District Municipality • Operation and maintenance of water and sanitation infrastructure.
