Msinga Municipality situated at Tugela Ferry has a vacant permanent position:


• SALARY SCALE: R289 195.80 P.A. • TASK GRADE 12


Requirements: • Matric • Traffic Officers Diploma • 3 years’ relevant experience • Valid driver’s licence.

Duties and Responsibilities: • Attending and investigate collision relating to Council owned motor vehicles • Control the activities of all traffic wardens performing law enforcement • Regulating traffic during collision, fires and special services • Attending to complaints from the public Traffic surveys • Ensuring that hawkers do not trade illegally and are placed into correct demarcated hawking area by ensuring: Registration of Hawkers, Demarcation of trading areas, Enforcement of Bylaws, Collection of trading fees, removing illegal structures from No trading area • Controlling of all vehicles in pound • Liaising with registered owners to collect vehicles• Reporting on vehicles that needs to be auctioned to Council • Checking with SAPS on status of vehicles • Assist with registration of vehicles in pound • Coordinate the impounding of animals with the different law enforcement agencies and prosecution of owners of animals by utilizing: Cattle Truck, Shocker, Enforcement notices.
