Msinga Municipality situated at Tugela Ferry, invites
suitably qualified person to submit detailed applications
for the following position:
SALARY SCALE: • R253 780.68 P.A. (TASK GRADE 12)
Minimum requirements: • Matric • National Diploma in Information
Technology or equivalent NQF 6 • Computer literacy • Have minimum of
3 years’ experience in information technology • Comptia A+ & N + will be
an added advantage.
Key performance areas: • Communicate with the immediate superior on
aspects pertaining to end user computing and/or equipment/application
requirement • Diagnosis specific software related problems, interact with
vendors/consultant on corrective measures/applicability of suggested
solutions • Install/configure set-up commands, testing and solving of logs
and conducting analysis and evaluation on the functionality of application
software • Maintain data dictionaries/directories and controlling the
distribution and retention of data on various storage devices • Perform
upgrades and repairs to components/peripheral devices • Receive and
prioritize end user support calls/requests • Trouble shooting less complex
problems with remote and local users on line/telephonically and/or visiting
user sites to analyse, diagnose and resolve application and operating
system related problems • Providing guidance to new users with start-up/
log on procedures and/or sequences, tools and capabilities of associated
packages • Formulating project scope documents for software upgrades,
IT infrastructure installations and facilitates activities concerned with
SCM • Facilitating handover of projects into operational environments,
delivers all activities aimed at enhancing end-user support and adoption
• Maintains records of licenses permitting the use of specific software.

with a comprehensive CV, certified copies of certificates and I.D copy
