R768 305.00 (Minimum) – R878 063.00 (Midpoint) – R987 820.00

Requirements:
• A recognized three year B degree in Public Administration/
Management Sciences/Law or equivalent • Minimum 5 years’ experience at
senior management level and have proven successful management experience in
administration • Code EB driver’s licence • Compliance with all the requirements
as contained in the Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency Levels, Gazette
29967 of 15 June 2007.

and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act No. 5 of 2000, Labour
Relations Act and other Labour related prescripts • Legal background and human
capital management • Knowledge of coordination and oversight of all specialized
support functions • Skills in analytical thinking, policy conceptualization and
implementation, conflict management, risk and change management, mediations
skills, diversity management, strategic leadership and management, governance,
ethics and values.
Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Municipal Manager, the post operates at
strategic level and provides strategic support to the business functions within
the Municipality with the main focus being implementation of the strategic goals
as identified in the Integrated Development Plan of the Municipality, ensuring the
effective management and compliance with legislation and policies in respect of,
amongst others.
Key performance areas:
• Human Resources Management, Recruitment and
Selection, Human Resources Development, Organization and Work Study, Labour
Relations, Occupational Health and Safety • Provide operational and strategic
management in the areas of fleet management, Council support, Customer Care
Management, Records Management • Ability to support and implement good
governance, ethics and values for financial management • Ensure that the approved
budget is executed in line with the Service Delivery and Budget Implementation
Plan (SDBIP) for the Department of Corporate Services • Execute any functions
delegated by the Municipal Manager in terms of the delegation of powers.
