STERILISATION OPERATOR PRODUCTION
REMUNERATION: R107 886 PER ANNUM
SERVICE BENEFITS: 13TH CHEQUE, EMPLOYER’S CONTRIBUTION TO THE PENSION FUND, HOUSING AND
MEDICAL AID ALLOWANCE
Requirements: Minimum educational qualification:
General Education and Training Certifi cate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std 7).
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, public holidays and night duty.
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in at least two of the three
official languages of the Western Cape • Knowledge of the decontamination sterilisation process • Good interpersonal
and numerical skills • Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Provide an effective sterilisation service to the hospital and the relevant clinics
and promote/adhere to infection control as well as health and safety regulations • Use and maintain autoclaves and
equipment/consumables in a cost-effective manner • Monitor, control and maintain adequate stock levels and issue
stock according to departmental needs • Support supervisor with record keeping, projects and functioning within the
multi-disciplinary team.
