REQUEST FOR BIDS
APPOINTMENT OF SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR THE DESIGN AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT OF FIRE STATION
BID NO: PWBS-065/18/19
Proposals are hereby invited from suitably qualified and experienced Architect firms or Civil Consultants for design and project / construction management of Fire Station at Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality (KZN436). The successful service provider will be required to provide following services but not limited to: Provision of preliminary designs (drawings) and final deigns (drawings), conducting of engineering studies e.g. Geotechnical investigation and survey, preparation of feasibility report, preparation of bid documentation, attending of project related meetings, project monitoring during construction and preparation of monthly and close out reports.
The adjudication of the bids will be done in terms of the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2011 as amended to align with new B-BBEE codes of good Practice in the 2017 regulations and will be based on the Functionality and 80/20 points system, points will be awarded as follows
80 – Price and 20 – BBBEE status.
Documents will only be made available on the date of bid-briefing meeting 13 December 2018 from 08h30 to 10h00 and will be issued upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of R397.00 per document. Only cash or bank guaranteed cheques will be accepted. All cheques must be made out to Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Local Municipality.
CONSTRUCTION OF CREIGHTON LIBRARY
BID NO: PWBS-066/18/19
Bids are hereby invited from suitably qualified and experienced Civil Engineering Service Providers for implementation of Construction of Creighton Library using Turnkey Strategy (Design, Project Management and Implementation) within Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma-Municipality (KZN436).
Only Tenderers who are registered with CIDB in a contractor grading of
4 GB or higher will be eligible to tender.
The adjudication of the bids will be done in terms of the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2011 as amended to align with new B-BBEE codes of good practice in the 2017 regulations purchases. Preferential points will be awarded to Service Providers using their B-BBEE status level of contribution and will be based on the Functionality and 80/20 points system.

Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality offices in Main Street, Creighton on the 13 December 2018 at 10h15. A representative from Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma Municipality will meet prospective Bidders to provide details of the Contract.
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED WITH THE BID: • Original and valid Tax Clearance Certificate or status PIN, a certified copy of the most recent municipal account in which the business is registered. Certified copy of Cipro Certificate, certified copies of ID’s of all members or shareholders of the entity, proof of registration with CSD and certified copy of valid B-BBEE rating certificate and sketches/Mock up designs of the proposed alterations.

Bids must be enclosed in SEALED ENVELOPES and addressed to the Municipal Manager, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality with RELEVANT CONTRACT NUMBER AND PROJECT NAME information as reflected above clearly marked on the outside of each envelope.
Bids must be deposited in the Bid box at the offices of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality in Creighton before the closing date and time. Late tenders will NOT be considered.
The closing date for the bid is 08 January 2019 at 12h00.
The offers must remain valid for 90 days from the closing date for submission of proposals.
Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid and reserves the right to accept the whole or any part of the Bid.
