Digital access and inclusion are fundamental to fourth industrial revolution characterized by a digital society and knowledge society economy. In driving change to bring about the digital transformation, SITA through its ICT bursary scheme, seeks to create a technical pipeline aimed at addressing the current skills gaps within the Information and Communication Technology Fraternity.
The bursary is targeting qualifying students living with disability who are currently in their second or third years of studies at any recognised South African tertiary institution.
Bursaries will be awarded to limited number of students studying in the following fields of study as outlined in the ICT Qualifications Frameworks Taxonomy.
- IT management and administration
- IT systems development and implementation
- IT in business
- IT strategy and planning
- IT system support
- IT sales and marketing
