TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER
RETAIL TENDER: WITS CLUB RESTAURANT AND CONFERENCE CENTRE AND HEALTH SCIENCE CAMPUS RETAIL AND CATERING
TENDER NO: WITS TENDER/2022:19
The Services Department of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg wishes to appoint suitable service provider/s for the Supply of a (1) Restaurant and Conference Services at the WITS Club on Braamfontein Campus West as well as a service to Supply (2) Retail and Function Services at the Parktown Health Sciences Campus. This is to be done within the relevant statutory requirements. The appointed service provider/s need to supply a catering service that is aligned with the “Eat Safe” philosophy and the mission and values of
the institution.
Eligibility criteria are stated in the tender documents. Only tenderers who meet the criteria are eligible to have their submissions evaluated.

Non-compulsory Registration of Intent to bid: Please ensure that you register your e-mail address with the tender administrator for communication purposes related to this tender. The deadline for the registration of non-compulsory intent to bid is on Wednesday, 24 August 2022 at 23h59. Tenderers may not contact any other University staff member and all questions must be submitted in writing to the tender administrator.
Compulsory Onsite Briefing/Clarification Meeting/Session: for this tender will be held on Thursday, 25 August 2022 as follows. 10:00 to 11:00 Wits Club – Onsite. 12:00 to 13h00 Health Science – Onsite.
Submission Details: The closing time for receipt of tenders is Wednesday, 14 September 2022 before Midnight 23:59. Late submissions WILL NOT be accepted. Refer RFP document.
Only electronic submissions via e-mail will be accepted at the designated e-mail addresses. The electronic submission protocol and tender terms and conditions are included in the tender document. By submitting a response, you expressly agree to be bound to these terms.
Shortlisted Tenderers may be given the opportunity to make presentations to the University and will be advised of the date and time.
The University reserves the right to proceed with this request for proposal in full, in parts or not at all and call for a new RFP in the event of an unsatisfactory reply to this RFP invitation. The conditions of the RFP, instructions and details regarding the non-compulsory briefing meeting are stated in the RFP Data of the RFP documents.
