INVITATION TO TENDER

THE REHABILITATION OF PORPOISE DRIVE IN PENNINGTON

BID NO: 18/2019 • MN NUMBER: 217/2019

Umdoni Municipality invites suitable, qualified and experienced service providers with a minimum CIDB Grading of 3CE or Higher for THE REHABILITATION OF PORPOISE DRIVE IN PENNINGTON DRIVE. The scope of works entails the rehabilitation of 230m Surfaced road in Porpoise DRIVE, Pennington.

MANDATORY DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL LEAD TO THE TENDER BEING REGARDED AS NON-RESPONSIVE.

Tender documents will be available for collection from the 12 JUNE 2019 between 09h00 and 14h30 from the Cashier’s office at Cnr of Bram Fisher and Williamson Street, Scottburgh, upon non-refundable cash payment of R300.00. (No cheques will be accepted).

A compulsory site meeting will be on the 21 June 2019 at 10h00 at Scottburgh Town Hall then proceed to site. Bid documents will not be sold on the briefing day. Only bidders with bid documents will be allowed to attend the briefing session. Please note that the above time frames must be strictly adhered to. Latecomers will not be admitted.

Bid documents, clearly marked with bid name and bid number must be deposited not later than 12h00 on 04 July 2019 in the tender box outside the reception area of Umdoni Municipality situated at Cnr of Bram Fischer and Williamson Drive, Scottburgh, where bids will be opened in public. The name and address of the bidder must be clearly written on the sealed envelope containing the bid.

Late bids or Bids received by way of post, facsimile or e-mail will under no circumstances be considered.

It is a requirement of this Bid that 30% of the contract sum must be sub-contracted to an EME’s (Exempted Micro Enterprises) or a QSE’s (Qualifying Small Business Enterprises) which is based within the jurisdiction of Umdoni Municipality.

(Umdoni Local Municipality does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid and reserves the right to accept any bid in whole or part.
