Appointment of a professional service provider to provide facilities management for the Playhouse Company for a period of 3 years

The Playhouse Company is a Cultural Institution registered in terms of Section 3(1) of the Cultural Institution Act, 1988, to promote the Arts and Culture in Kwa-Zulu Natal.

The scope of the work include inter alia: • The condition assessment of all the infrastructure facilities of the Playhouse Company to determine the state of the facilities and assess the maintenance requirements comprehensively • The development of the individual maintenance plans, including both planned and unplanned maintenance, for each of the Playhouse’s facilities. The maintenance plans must be based on the results of the condition assessment • The development of the lifecycle plans of each individual facility of the Playhouse • The development of the comprehensive Facility Management service plan and its implementation over the full contract period • Monthly reporting on Facility Management services in terms of implementation and financial progress against the developed plans.

Pre-qualification requirements are listed below: • Registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (C.S.D) • A valid Tax Clearance Certificate or a SARS issued PIN is compulsory • Recent audited financial statements for the past 3 years • Completed and signed tender document.

Tenders will be evaluated based on functionality criteria and the 80/20 Preference Point System in terms of the Policy Framework Act, 2000 (Act No. 5 of 2000).

Tender documents will be available at The Playhouse Company Head Office, 29 Acutt Street from 10h00 on 24 May 2019. A non-refundable fee of R350.00 should be paid in cash to Mr Sudesh Harilal (ext. 9443) to acquire the document.

A compulsory site inspection meeting will be held on 31 May 2019 at 10h00 at The Playhouse Company, 231 Anton Lembede Street, Alhambra Room, Durban.

Closing date for the submission of tenders is 24 June 2019 at 11h00. No late submissions will be considered.

Submissions must be clearly marked and enclosed in a sealed envelope/package addressed to: The Chief Executive Officer at The Playhouse Company, 29 Acutt Street, Durban 4001.
